First, you’re going to want to take a look at our adoptable pets on Facebook or Petfinder. Once you find a pet that you think will fit your home and lifestyle best; submit an application. Once your application is submitted, one of our volunteers will be in touch within 48-72 hours. From there, we will review your application and conduct a phone interview, set up a time to visit you for a home check, and check to see if the animal will be a fit with your family and other pets. When you pass a home check, we then coordinate a meet and greet. If you are a fit for the pet, and the pet is a fit for you, then you’re offered an adoption contract! Congratulations! Please understand that all animals are not placed on a first come, first served basis, and we take special care placing animals into families where they will be able to thrive.

We are a foster-based facility that is by appointment only. To meet our animals, please visit us at an adoption event or submit an application for the animal you are interested in.

Our average dog adoption fee is $450. Our average cat adoption fee is $175. These fees are non negotiable.

Depending on the pet's situation we may consider an out of state adoption. We first consider in-state applicants and should one not prove to be best for the animal; we will then consider an out of state application (within reason).

By fostering you are helping to save more lives and giving a dog a chance to train and learn in a home environment! Fosters are essential to rescues and we would be lost without you. Fosters must live in Michigan and be willing to travel to our preferred veternarians in Oakland and Macomb county. The first step is to fill out a foster application by clicking here. From there, one of our foster ambassadors will reach out to discuss the process further with you. During an animals foster stay, we cover all medical and food costs associated with the animal.
